CRH2021-01-22 10:00:032021-05-07 11:06:54Booking our VenueWe had both always known that we didn’t want a long engagement, so as soon as we got back from our Italian adventure the planning began. The first step was trying to finding a venue, and luckily at the time we were able to go and visit venues. We contacted a few places and booked in some viewings, I’m sure all of them would have been lovely. However, when we walked into the second venue for a viewing we just knew.
We walked outside and looked at the beautiful country views and both agreed then and there this was it, this was the place we wanted our wedding reception. After going back inside and discussing packages we came away with two potential dates, one in April and one in September. Ideally we wanted to get married in August, but if this was the venue and we wanted a 2021 wedding then these were our options.
When we got home we decided to call and provisional book the September date, given that the church was available, however in the time between viewing and going home another couple had rearranged and an August date became available.
I strongly believe fate was on our side, so we booked it. The church was a little easier to pick as we had always said we would love to get married in our local church, the same church my parents married at 30 years before.
